Description
Located
on
the
fringe
of
the
border
with
Spain,
the
airport
serves the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar.
The
new
terminal
is
four
times
bigger
than
the
previous
which has transformed air travel to and from Gibraltar.
Project Design
Kashec
collaborated
with
the
UK
office
of
the
global
engineering
firm
Buro
Happold
to
carry
out
the
RC
detailing
for this scheme.
We
were
responsible
for
the
RC
detailing
of
foundations
and superstructure.
The
superstructure
consisted
of
five
reinforced
concrete
storeys.
The
main
building
is
approximately
150
metres
long and 31 metres wide.
