Description
The
construction
of
the
flyover
was
part
of
the
Pune
Municipal
Corporation’s
strategy
to
ease
the
traffic
in
the
city and improve road connections.
The flyover is 490 metres long and 15 metres wide.
It
consists
of
two
approach
roads
at
each
side
of
the
flyover and a four span viaduct.
Project Design
Kashec provided full bridge design services for this scheme.
We
designed
the
bridge
structure
using
an
integral
deck
construction
to
ensure
greater
durability
and
lower
maintenance costs.
The
bridge
deck
consisted
of
precast
prestressed
concrete
girders.
